At Coalition Defense we believe that most firearm owners own a firearm for defensive purposes. Learning what a firearm is and how it operates is certainly necessary, however those things do little to nothing in regard to learning how to become proficient with a firearm. Tactical training, if executed correctly, focuses on niche scenario’s that are often times offensively driven, contradicting the principle of self defense.
At Coalition Defense, our goal is to provide students with training concepts that they can use to elevate their level of proficiency with a firearm in the most basic and practical ways.

The probability of surviving a serious life threatening encounter is slim. Coalition Defense teaches basic critical concepts that are capable of improving a person’s chance of survival. Coalition Defense takes the “simple is often best” instructors’ approach - making every class we offer suitable to shooters of all skill levels.
There is a critical gap in basic firearm training that must be filled. Most firearm owners possess a firearm with defensive purposes in mind. Unfortunately, traditional basic firearm training teaches students what a firearm is and how it operates but little to nothing about how to use a firearm defensively.
Firearm training has evolved and improved drastically over time and it is time that the training community catches up. Things have evolved from Basic Firearm Training to what we at Coalition Defense call Basic DEFENSIVE Firearm Training.

Firearm training can be intimidating by nature. Numerous students have informed me that they wanted to receive training years ago but were too nervous to sign up. Coalition Defense's lion logo was intentionally designed to reduce the common intimidation factor.
The image of the lion represents our family's last name - León. The lion's face is the letter C for Coalition, while the red of the mouth forms a backwards D for Defense.
